Bundle comes with:
1 tree tapestry 
1 stained and unassembled oak frame ( a top frame with two inserted eyelet screws and 3 partially inserted screws, a bottom frame with 3 partially inserted screws, twine for hanging (you may substitute leather or wire if you prefer!) 3 extra screws )
A set of custom portrait pins in the set size of your choice. (8,15, or 30)           
 
Tapestry Details:
   Each leaf, branch, and detail was hand carved with care before being hand printed in my at home studio on cotton muslin.  The muslin tree layer is backed with a colored piece of cotton fabric (often with a subtle design or pattern). Fabric colors and designs vary,  because I work with upcycled materials when possible. (give our earth home a little extra love.) :) The tapestry is then reinforced with a fabric interfacing, making it sturdy enough to hold a portrait pin for each of your family members. 
Why This Tree?
    I hope to eventually add other tree options, but for now I hope you enjoy the symbolism of this little olive tree. The olive tree has biblical and mythological roots symbolizing peace and healing. Additionally, the visual appearance of this olive tree with its gnarled and unpredictable branches reminds the viewer of the beauty that can be found in the imperfect and unexpected. Every family is different, with individual structures, strengths, weaknesses, cherished memories and healing scars. Unique cultures, traditions, and perspectives are passed down through each generation, and each individual family member has the opportunity to choose how and if they will continue the family patterns of the past as well as what patterns they hope to set in motion for the future. 
Frame Details
This White oak frame is made specifically to fit your tree tapestry, It is hand sanded and stained to the color of your liking.
Pin Details
Each portrait pin is 22mm in diameter with a muslin surface and an antique bronze back. For each pin, you will receivea 3x5 summary card containing information on the individual depicted. Each pin will be based of a photo you send me.

How It Works
 Order your pin(s)
Select your set size in the drop down menu. (The price per pin goes down the larger the set size you get!) 
Select your prefer stain shade
Help me get to know who I'm illustrating for your portrait pins!
You can fill out this form Here OR wait until I email you regarding your order. When I contact you I will ask you for information and photos for each individual i'm illustrating.
I will do a digital black and white sketch of each individual, I will send them to you for your approval. I will do up to 4 total revisions if needed.
Using the digital sketches as a guide I will paint and detail the images onto fabric. 
Each fabric portrait will be cut out and made into a rounded pin.
Once your Tree arrives
Arrange and attach pins to your tree as desired
 separate the thick pieces of wood from the thin pieces of wood completely. 
Lay the thicker section down, hole side up and eyelets pointing out.
Layer the top end of the tapestry on top of the thicker wood piece, Tree side down. (you should be looking at the backing.) they eyelets should be pointing away from your tapestry.
Adjust the tapestry so that it is centered between the screw holes. 
Lay the thinner board on top, lined up with the bottom one- holes lined up with holes. (you should have a wood and tapestry sandwich!)
Gently assemble the screws. don't go too tight or they might snap!
repeat on the bottom of the tapestry.
